Throughout the last 2 semesters I have been blogging for my agricultural communications class. This has been the most enjoyable exercise over my school year because every week I read the headlines and learn about issues and events in agriculture and the environment.
When starting the search for a topic, I search for controversial issues that could spark discussion, or that have already been debated in the public or in the political circuit. The structure of my blog posts starts with an introduction to the topic in the first paragraph. In the second paragraph I discuss the new developments of the issue or event, or the two sides to the debate. The last paragraph is my stand on the issue or which side I would take in a debate and why that’s important to me.
Links and photos really give life to the posts and give the readers a sense of what the post is really considering.
